Loss, pain, fragility and
danger play a major role in my work, exposing deep internal and
external forces, a kind of residue of life's experiences, its
presences and absences. It invites one to embrace the complexity and
open-endedness of my work.
The work has continued to mine the materials of mass culture
creating an alternative world. I create work that incorporates
everyday materials. The process can be repetitive and obsessive. In
a world filled with constantly changing technology, working with
one's hands enriches the experience and breathes life into the soul.
